About me

Hi, I'm Bella.
I'm a writer and editor passionate about shaping ideas into clear, compelling stories. Whether I'm editing literary submissions and op-eds, writing talking points and speeches for public leaders, or developing content for digital audiences, I find immense joy in helping meaningful ideas find their strongest voice.

I graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.A. in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing and a minor in Ancient Near Eastern Studies. My experience spans literary publishing, government communications, academic research, and digital content creation. Along the way, I've edited hundreds of literary submissions, led two teams of writers and acquisitions editors, written speeches, press releases, and web content, and collaborated with writers, scholars, and communications professionals to bring meaningful projects to life.

I'm especially drawn to publishing, history, art, theology, and thoughtful creative nonfiction. My long-term goal is to build a career in editorial publishing, helping authors and organizations communicate ideas that educate, inspire, and endure.

When I'm not writing or editing, you'll probably find me painting Byzantine icons, watching films with my husband, spending time with our dog, reading history, or traveling in search of places with remarkable art and stories to tell.
